The Parthenon as a Metaphor of Democracy

Dear Readership,

I am pleased to share the following article I wrote on the Parthenon and democracy that is now published in the Journal of the History of Ideas Blog.

In the article I blend ideas from psychology, philosophy, and architecture in the article, arguing the Parthenon’s form and spatial position atop the Acropolis ground the abstract concept of democracy.
